A lot of Australian retailers give their trade a boost by hiring a spruiker to get more customers through the door.
Tony Maguire has been the man behind the microphone for scores of successful retail and corporate promotions.
Sydney-based Tony says one of the keys to successful spruiking is rapid-fire delivery. "You've got to keep up a fast, almost race caller-like rhythm," he says. ”If you falter it’s like a musician going out of time.”
