Sue is a Graduate of the University of Tasmania, School of Medicine. Her background is in general practice. In 1995 she co-founded Laserway, a practice specialising in sclerotherapy (treatment of leg veins) and laser treatments.
Sue has completed training within Australia and overseas, including a course in Laser Biophysics run by the Harvard Medical School post graduate foundation.

John is a graduate of Sydney University who, after initial hospital training, completed six years of specialist training in Ophthalmology where his interest in eyelid and delicate facial surgery had its origins. After two years in Alice Springs as regional ophthalmologist he returned to Hobart and entered general practice in Sandy Bay, maintaining some parallel ongoing ophthalmology work.
