Spandex coated yarn can be described as an elastic fiber
made through the use of spandex yarn as the base as well as wrapping it in a
spiral fashion using filament or short fiber yarn. Based on the number of
layers that cover the spandex covered yarn is divided into single and
double-covering. The single-covered yarn is made up made of the outer layer
(yarn) that is wrapped around the outer layer of spandex's core silk. It is
mostly used to make elastic fabrics like socks and knitted underwear that is
