The poverty portion of general state aid are present ever our Board has not made recommendations I think our board is learning and studying along with the members this an education funding Advisory Committee we've had for five board members attend each the hearings we've had an we have at invited an individual me my crib this friend ES that has come to Illinois twice on seaport had many conversations he's assisted with other states in looking at the formula on we are looking at all of these thing she's encouraged us to really think about on the way that wed funding overall do we want funding that has multiple categories do you want to continue having line items for special education personnel private tuition general state aid et cetera or there are some states that have gone to more up one formula but that would have additional weightings for special education students loll students low incomes Park at risk students and sell I think that that his knowledge and expertise on what has been done throughout the country on has a really brought additional perspectives that the committee and our board is listening to love this as well on are listening to is it simply revising the current state aid formula or is it looking more broadly than that on and I think right now there wrestling with a number of those questions and white and what does that mean on in particular in light of the fact that there's not likely to be additional funding next year that's motto say never but I don't know next year forgoing to get a billion dollars on he's been talking to us about for example Colorado citizens are going to the polls today to vote on a new funding formula but the new funding formula is contingent upon a tax plan it has to be passed by the voters up testate so he's been able to bring that perspective to the committee into our board as their consider excuse me as they're considering all these things well I hope.
