Crafting the Conclusion Paragraph
During the essay writing, the good persuasive speech topics done in the body paragraphs should also reflect upon the conclusion paragraph. The conclusion is not a summary of your essay, neither is it just an enumeration of the various points spoken or stated in the essay. It helps close the discussion and the subject by providing a smooth winding down of things.
The essay writer should craft the conclusion in a way that induces the same winding down effect that a person feels after a day of hard work. Towards the end, the mind already is saturated with information, ideas, and opinions. Thus, the conclusion paragraph strays away from adding new information, but only helps the reader understand what was discussed and reached upon in the essay.
The conclusion also gives you the opportunity to show your understanding of the subject matter and the restrictions that you had to deal with, as you indicate to the reader where further research is required.
Different ways style your conclusion
There are several ways that you can choose to style your conclusion. You can use these styles individually in the essay or use them in combination with other styles.
Complete the circle of essay
In the introduction, you state what your essay’s argument is and what it plans to accomplish. This is explicitly stated in the thesis statement where you tell the reader your main argument or aim for the essay and tell the readers how you plan to accomplish the task.
In the conclusion part, you will, with the whole hook examples in mind, tell the reader that you have accomplished what you set out to accomplish at the start of the essay.
Reflect upon your essay
You style your introduction to authoritatively announce to the readers its intentions in the essay. The main body needs to be incisive and critical to the process and come up with new information. The conclusion, however, allows you to reflect upon your work and suggest the reader where the discussion might take them next.
The main body should speak for itself, so there is no need to assert anything in the conclusion or add anything further.
Suggest the importance of the topic
The introduction informs the reader why they should be interested in the rhetorical analysis essay example. In conclusion, you will answer the questions of “Now What?” instead of “So What?”. You will restate the importance of the topic in a conclusive fashion.
Things that should be part of your conclusion
There are many things that should go into the last paragraphs:
- You should include a restated thesis statement in the conclusion to tell the readers what was accomplished in the essay.
- Enumerate the main points of the argument in light of the concluding thesis.
- Suggest further research into the subject.
- Express the limitations that hold you back from exploring different discussions.
- Leaving the reader with a final thought that suggests them with something to think about regarding the topic at hand. This can be a question, statement, quote, etc.
Things that shouldn’t be part of your conclusion
You should be wary not to include various other things in your last paragraph.
- It is at times tempting to add new information or material in the conclusion part. This could be your way of overcompensating for mediocre body paragraphs.
- Try not to challenge or go against the main thesis in the final conclusion in any way possible.
- The conclusion shouldn’t give a summary of the contents of the informative speech topics. The supporting arguments to your main thesis will be touched upon in the essay, without providing a summary of each idea.
