I gave him the shoes. It was as if I was saying, 'Grasshopper, it's your right now to carry the torch. And you must carry it well.' I know that Saquon will do an excellent job at this. Saquon is a very good child. He reminds me of a lot of myself. He's fast and strong, and keeps his head on straight. This is the thing that impresses me the most. It's not his stats. I love the way the man carries himself.

Everybody will have Bo Jackson. When you think about all the NFL running backs who have been after you, which of them bring you back to your own?

I can come up with two examples -Two - Saquon as well as Derrick Henry -- on the brute strength, power and knowing how to navigate between the field and defense. They don't necessarily have the speed I had. But they've made this work. They're very effective in what they do. This is why they're considered to be the top running backs in the game today.

If you take a look back at your career, what's one performance you've played that you feel could've come out of playing video games?

The thing that is not talked about except Denver Broncos fans is when we went to Denver and I ran through their defense on one play like the hot knife that cuts through butter. Not to brag, but just the fact being the size I was then and how low I had to be in college to run behind my pads. So, you'd never be able to see me upright running when I didn't have someone 5 or 6 yards in front of me trying to chase me. But when I was up in traffic, and in the hot of the action it only took me just one moment to understand that running in the wrong direction is bad for you. I'm not sure of the gentleman's name, but it was a linebacker from the Cardinals during their time in Phoenix. He blew me up. He struck me on the 6- or 7-yard line and hit me in the 2. He helped me up and said, 'Hey Bo I'm looking at you, Bo. You must get my money. You need to run harder. I'm looking at him like, 'You have lost your mind. I'm not going to go down the same hole for a second.' The next play I bounced it to the outside and ran at my speed.

Editor's note: in the fourth quarter of the game that was played between Raiders in the playoffs against the Broncos during the week of Dec. 2, 1990, Jackson recorded a 62-yard rush touchdown, breaking five tackles in the process of getting to cheap Madden 22 coins the goal line.
