Thermal Equipment and Heaters 

A heating element is a substance or device that uses the Joule heating principle to transform electrical energy into heat or thermal energy. 

 These heating components are used to avoid condensation damage in enclosures and switchboards. 

Features: 

1. Sufficient resistivity 

2. High oxidation resistance 

3. Low-temperature coefficient of resistance 

4. High toughness  

5 High melting point. 

Different types of the heating element 

The heating element is also called thermal equipment we have different types of heaters 

Like space heaters, tubular heaters, cartridge heaters, bolt heaters thermocouples, and RTD. 

The heating element is used in the generators also.
