Visitors who are eligible for an immigrant Visa, e.g. those coming for study or job purposes, no visa is required by them to enter the country. Family members visiting the country for family visits are exempt from this requirement. If you are planning to marry a Kenyatta citizen, you will need an immigrant visa. You will need to submit a passport photo, an application form, and a birth certificate in order to apply. This is essential as the application will not be approved without it.
There are many formalities that must be completed before you can enter the country. The first is to get an immigrant visa from the Kenya Ministry of Immigration. Upon approval, you will then be issued a visa card. You will then be eligible for localisation, provided that your presence in the country is confirmed through the Kenya Passport Office within the timeframe stipulated by the ministry.
The next step is to register at the Kenya Interior Ministry. To do so, you will need your birth certificate and original passport. Once registered, you can obtain a temporary visa to remain in the country till the issuance of a permanent visa. You will then need to submit an application for citizenship, and proof of residence. The Kenya authorities will then issue you a certificate of identity which you can use to check in at the airport.
