A Review of Digital Registration in Germany

Germany Digital Registration on Entry (DREX), a biometric verification, is required for international travelers who have been in an endemic high-risk zone within the last 10 days. This requires that a criminal history record, public records and credit report are available before the applicant is granted entrance into the country. These checks are usually done at the point of entry to the country before the applicant can proceed with entry. The checks include checking for undeclared currency or assets which might be subjected to seizure by the German authorities.
