Sure, it is a job, and it's wonderful to not need to work, but flying to that portion of the world is expensive and having a group of people on hand to assist you get settled would be a huge bonus. When you haven't traveled alone every so often, I strongly suggest it. There's a great deal of competition but should you grow your portfolio, you can find lots of work as time passes.
