A Brief Introduction to the Sierra Leone Health Declaration Form

The Sierra Leone Health Declaration, which is a declaration by the government of Sierra Leone, lists all known diseases in the country. It also lists the diseases that will soon be introduced. This voluntary declaration was made by government officials and is largely intended to coordinate national actions towards fighting and preventing the spread of disease. Anyone who wants to help fight these deadly diseases can visit the nearest medical coordinating office.

Most of these declarations are general health activities that have to be carried out in every area of the country. However, the medical declarations for specific countries are more detailed and cover more than general health activities. For instance, in the United Kingdom, the declared diseases include diabetes, cholera, typhoid, malaria, dysentery and viral hepatitis. These diseases are not listed under the topic immunizations in the United States. The government of Sierra Leone has other options for general health actions. They include designing the ideal Sewage Treatment Centers, equipping hospitals with technology to speed up diagnostic tests and increasing awareness among the population about health issues.
