Traditional Timber Frames is a specialist heavy timber framing company catering to all parts of the commercial and residential building industry. Our workshop is located in the Southern Highlands of NSW where we hand craft post and beam style frames and trusses for a range of projects Australia wide.

Our business is a small and passionate team that prides itself on the finest craftsmanship, attention to detail, and handwork in the classic English timber framing tradition. Our Director and Master Builder Chris Nance traveled to Wales in 2007 to learn this near forgotten craft from Master Carpenter Alan Ritchie. Upon returning home Chris set up shop in the back of his grandfather’s timber yard and began his timber framing journey. This has led to where we are today and where we will go in the future, creating the finest timber homes in Australia.
