The stone alum is a mineral present in nature in the form of translucent glass and sweet flavor. Usually it consists of aluminum sulfate and other metal sulfate. The variety is commercially exploited composed of the hydrated potassium aluminum sulfate (potassium aluminum). It is obtained from a magmatic volcanic rock called alunífera trachyte, although it is also produced industrially.
