Southern Cross Yachting
Southern Cross Yachting is a premier sail training centre based in
the beautiful Moreton Bay region of Queensland. Established in 1996, we are
Australia’s original accredited RYA sailing training centre that is proud to
offer fun and practical training for beginners to experts. As well as building
all the skills necessary to have you accredited as a coastal skipper or
yachtmaster, we also offer a range of charter tours throughout Australia for a
much more hands off way to enjoy your time on the water.
We have an extensive range of one to five day RYA courses to advance your skills regardless of prior knowledge, which are lead by our experienced, knowledgeable and friendly skippers.
If you’re just starting out and want to learn to steer, handle ropes, and learn about onboard safety, we offer beginner sailing lessons teaching the fundamentals of yachting to novices.
For the more experienced yachter, an intermediate sailing or advanced sailing course can take you through your RYA coastal skipper or RYA Yachtmaster accreditations, giving you all the skills you’ll need to lead your own yacht and crew.
We also have theory only courses for those who are looking to work on their skills and accreditation over time, as well as fast track sailing courses for those who want to get on the water quicker.
If you’re looking for a day on the water without any of the work, or want to have a fun day of sailing, one of our yacht charter, corporate sailing team building, or romantic sailboat charters packages could be the perfect choice. We offer a great range of single and multiple day skippered charters for a hands off sailing experience, as well as family tours and team building days where you can bring a group to sail the seas and learn some fun basics together.
