Mostly recently working in Singapore with FRHI (Fairmont & Raffles Hotels International) for Raffles Hotels & Resorts as Corporate Director of Design, Elizabeth directly reported to the Vice President of Design globally. Together with the VP, she was responsible for Raffles’ extensive property portfolio of 15 or more new Hotels and Resorts then under development & refurbishment around the world.

She has extensive project and management experience, overseeing & working on numerous hotel & resorts projects in CAMBODIA, CHINA, DUBAI, GEORGIA, INDONESIA, MALAYSIA, MALDIVES, MOROCCO, TAJIKISTAN, VIETNAM, frequently travelling to many of these countries, attending project planning CONTROL GROUP meetings and site visits.

Elizabeth has also visited regularly in the U.S.A and U.K, and on a number of occasions the U.A.E researching international design projects.

Prior to her role with Raffles, Elizabeth worked on a number of otherINTERNATIONAL HOTELS & RESORTS projects for many of the Leading Hotels of the World.

Elizabeth has held head Design Manager and Project Director positions at the Sunland Group the creators of Palazzo Versace, and at BBG-BBGM where she worked on a number of new hotels for Hyatt International.

Elizabeth’s experience in AUSTRALIA is with Australian Stock ExchangeASX 50, 100 and 200 companies includes multimillion dollar corporate offices, prestigious high-rise residential towers, luxury island developmentsand housing estates on the east coast of Australia in NSW, VICTORIA & QUEENSLAND. She has also been involved with unique & boutique privateluxury residences & villas.

Elizabeth has lived & worked in London in the UNITED KINGDOM, SINGAPORE & AUSTRALIA in Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane.

Elizabeth Joy Thomas has 20 years of experience in the design and construction industry working with world renowned interior design, architecture, property development, hotel design, development and management companies.

She has focused her career on the hotels & resorts property development industry. When travelling, she visits properties all over the world to stay abreast of contemporary international design projects, trends, products, building and construction technique and services.
