Pizza Tower
The Internet appears to be operating miraculously again, if you enjoy small nuggets spinning on a toaster. Pizza Tower is a 2D platformer game that is the successor to Wario Land. Its style is a blend of low-resolution graphics and cartoons from the 1990s. It highlights the devil's insanity in every way and follows the structure of the fourth Nintendo series title. We savagely attack the unfortunate creatures that obstruct our path as we sprint around all the time. According on the initial comments on the Steam page, this technique appears to be effective, and the game is still developing even after some back and forth.
Peppino, the pizza cook whom you play, is a time bomb in and of himself. He's little overweight and has amnesia. He's constantly on the verge of an aneurysm. But with the keyboard (or controller) in hand, his erratic movements soon seem reasonable. Years of testing contributed to our attaining such consistency that it was (unsurprisingly) worthy of the Big N. It wouldn't be annoying to frequently crash into walls and other obstructions. Then, whether the collisions were intentional or not, we would essentially enjoy observing how our Italian pizza plumber responded to them.
The countdown that begins as soon as you reach each level's ultimate goal is the greatest trick Pizza Tower took from Wario Land. It makes you sprint back to the entrance in a condensed amount of time. It's not as easy as just retracing your steps, either, as the way you chose initially may be closed and previously blocked paths may now be open. The tremendously unsettling tune, which begins like a siren and gradually rises to a crescendo as the countdown perilously approaches zero, enhances this crazy dash to the starting line. The fact that you have to restart the level if you don't make it to the starting line in the allotted time helps make the stakes in these last few seconds quite high. It's a harsh mechanism, but the intensity and relief of victory more than make up for the disappointment of losing.
