Refuge,so unique.if you want to experience Oz wildlife I can recommend O2E who have amazing Australian volunteer projects. I am planning my next experience, can't wait.
Date: 21/10/2015I never thought I would be able to get up close and personal with Australian animals other than in a zoo (which I won't support) until I came across this not for profit company Oceans 2 Earth.
I stayed in a wildlife rescue centre where I go t care for injured and displaced animals and met some amazing people. I bottle fed joeys, exercised wombats, hand fed koalas and did general grounds keeping, cleaning and feeding.
I would highly recommend this company if you want to work with animals in a natural setting.
