NDIS Community Nursing Care in Victoria, Melbourne,TAS
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) do not fund any hospital-in-the-home services to manage the medical conditions of the participants as these services are not usually related to their disability. But disability-related health supports such as dysphagia supports, continence supports, podiatry supports, bowel care, wound and pressure care support etc could be funded in your NDIS plan if NDIS is found to be the most suitable institution to provide the said supports. Professionals who are trained to handle such disability-related health supports can be access under Community Nursing Care. If the support is found to be ‘reasonable and necessary,’ participants can avail the services of an NDIS care worker or a registered nurse with the help of their service provider.
