Warwick and his wife Amanda, who first entered the business as a sales assistant, now remain at the helm of our family centric business.At Lewis Bros. Mitre 10, we’re proud of our long and meaningful history spanning over 50 years, supplying our customers with quality and specialised hardware supplies, delivered with a friendly and personal service. Our story dates back as early as 1963 when Harry Lewis opened Kenmore Handyman and Paint supplies, with customers being greeted by himself and his son, Charles.By 1971 our store had tripled in size and prompted a re-brand to Kenmore Mitre 10, with Harry’s son, Elliott joining full-time. In the years to proceed many family members have been involved in our business including Elliott’s sons, Wesley and Warwick, the current store operators from which the Lewis Bros. name was derived from in 2012.“Some have trade experience, some have life experience, some are full time and some are students. All are extremely friendly and are united by a shared desire to be mighty helpful.”In the same year of our second re-branding to Lewis Bros. in 2012, we also purchased a second store in South Brisbane. Many twists and turns have been encountered along the way but one thing has never changed, which is our uncompromising service to our customers. We have built our business with the help of our strong family unit and while some may be family by blood, all of our employees and customers are considered family.
