There
are two primary mail server settings for the BigPond email account: IMAP, and
POP. IMAP works by syncing your email with the email server. So, anything you
do like a reply, mark as read, or delete on your emails is updated across all
your devices. On the other hand, POP doesn’t sync your email with the mail
server. With POP, anything you do to your email, like reply or delete happens
only on that device.
If
you want to set your BigPond email account on macOS or Windows, go to the file
menu, select the new> mail account, and enter the following email settings
outlined below:
For
the incoming server- IMAP, the configuration settings are as follows:

SSL/TLS
On
the other hand, for the POP alternative, the configuration settings are the
following:

server address: pop.telstra.com
Incoming
server port: 995
Encrypted
connection: SSL
After
