Mr Boyce, who uses the website www.bustamoveremovals.com.au, conducts an interstate furniture removalist business to Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra as well as in the Sydney metropolitan area. To date, Fair Trading has received more than 40 complaints relating to: • loss of items • furniture and other items broken or damaged during delivery • failure to provide receipts for payments • failure to provide written contracts or insurance (when requested) • failure of items to arrive at the scheduled time or at all, and • changed delivery times without notice and subsequent storing of items at an additional charge, requiring payment for storage costs before delivery is completed. Consumers who deal with Bustamove Removals via quote comparison websites are persistently approached by the trader in his attempt to secure their business and subsequent payment. Consumers have suffered financial detriment as a result of dealing with Bustamove Removals, believed to be in the vicinity of $69,000 combined. Anyone who has had unsuccessful dealings with Bustamove Removals should lodge an online complaint with Fair Trading at www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au or call 13 32 20. The Commissioner urged consumers to check feedback sites such as internet blogs and obtain at least three quotes from different traders before choosing a removalist.

warning do not use. had all items damaged and wet. could not get in contact with Chris. truck arrived 2 days late. I would not have got my stuff if I didn't hire a van and track down the truck so I could remove me belongings from the truck to the van myself

We have had a very similar experience with this guy. He was referred to us by a quote comparing website so we thought all would be fine, he was smooth talking on the phone and very nice to deal with at the start. since paying him 75% deposit he has been we haven't heard from him. Numerous emails and phone calls go unanswered. we have now engaged our solicitor to recoup the money we have lost on this guy. wish I had seen these reviews first!

Three months after engaging this guy's services, we have only just had 90% of our belongings delivered. The rest is of course our more expensive items, including white goods. Impossible to contact and makes promise after promise, but fails to deliver every time. We have filed reports with the Police and NSW Fair Trading. If only we had seen these reviews and warnings beforehand. BEWARE Bustamove aka Interstate Relocation Specialist, Chris Boyce. DO NOT USE THIS COWBOY!

Represented himself as an affiliate with a removalist I had already established trust with. Slick on the phone. I went to cancel several times after feeling uncomfortable with all the red flags pre-move. Asked for a 100% payment of $1100. Very nice and good at smooth talking you... but story after story after excuse after excuse. Promised "gold service" and reassured me of insurance. Said that the paperwork would be sent "tonight", "tomorrow". Then strung me along for 5 weeks (so far), provided no invoice, no insurance policy. Showed up the following evening and he had sent a single guy, who he had just picked up from the airport. Guy said he was driving the stuff to Adelaide. Then it was being put on a train. He involved an innocent removalist in Perth who he has refused to pay to deliver my belongings and I have accepted that they may not even show up. Has ignored my constant texts and requests for information about my belongings - only replies with "I am so sorry, it will arrive on X day". Fair trading and Choice Magazine are now warning people to steer clear of this company! Good news for the many who have been so devastated by Chris Boyce and his shocking disregard for them and their processions ! We will be taking legal action. Importantly now others may be spared the ordeal we had to go through !!

Bustamove is the worst company I have ever dealt with. This guy is a fraud. The address on his web site and quote are both either old or fake. We went there to try and recover our money. He took a 100% deposit $1800, but then the truck arrived 3 days late half full of someone else stuff. When we were chasing him his phone message bank was full many times, (I suggest from many other unhappy customers trying to find out where their stuff is). The driver started chucking (I mean chucking, not loading) our boxes in the truck. We stopped him as it became clear he was only going to take half the stuff, even though we had paid a premium to ensure there was extra space on the truck. In the end we had to hire a completely different company to make the move who were cheaper and fantastic service. DO NOT USE THIS GUY!

Con man- Chris should be locked up for how dishonest, disrespectful of people belongings and downright rude he is. We reviewed in jan not to use and yet people still being conned.DO NOT USE unless you want shit service , no shows , non delivery of your belongings and damages when they eventually if ever do arrive. Yes I also worked for Bustamove and it is a month and still not paid. Won't answer calls, texts. In the beginning Chris said,I will pay you tomorrow. The job that I saw being done was horrifying and the customer is at his wits end. So much damage. Be CAREFUL! !!

Everything I need to say is summed up in the above statements. How is this mob still operating? I paid $1760 upfront and have had 2 text messages full of excuses but still no truck. The bastard wont answer/return my calls or emails. I am going to contact A Current Affair about this mob. They should be investigated.I will also contact Fair Trading and register a complaint.

We arranged pickup Friday, excuse after excuse.... Well it's now Sunday and still no pick up!! And if they do pick up, will we ever see our stuff again???

Worked 9hours over the weekend for the company, so far no response from them and no payment. I recommend no one to hire their service.

Never use bustamove

I tried to warn people about Chris and Bustamoves months ago!! I was threatened with "the police and Lawyers " for stating the truth!!

DO NOT USE!!! Worked for Chris as a removalist over 3 weeks ago and still have not been paid. I have tried calling and emailing but all attempts to get in touch have been ignored.

Everything went well up to and including the loading of the truck (a HIRE TRUCK no less). Then things went pair shaped. We paid a premium for 2 blokes to drive/unload the truck (Syd - Mel) but only 1 did. My brother in law who was recovering from foot surgery and my mother in law who has renal failure had to help this one bloke unload. A near new washing machine is busted, an irreplaceable family heirloom smashed, storage containers smashed, lamps broken etc etc Not surprisingly the arsehole won't return calls/texts/emails. I'll find him and I'll get him. Then just to piss him off I'll also be dobbing him in to fair trading

Low grub !!! How is this guy still taking peoples money ? You should be a shame of your self Chris . Guys look out with you are using this grub tells you one thing and dose another as if moving was not stressful enough so I paid over 3000 to have a truck one guy to help me move my hole house after paying up front was told they will pack and do all the stressful things of moving I was told a truck would be at my place on 21st jan 12pm to 4pm after no show gave Chris a call to say the truck won't be here till 8pm after 10pm rang again to be told truck driver has gone over he hours so is 9am ok 22nd I was happy to wait thinking I was going go get HELP that I have paid for well come 11am one guy shows up no boxes no help my night mare has happened

This company is reeking havoc! Dangerous dishonest and deceptive. It's very distressing to have all your belongings damaged and lost, then having to deal with Bustamoves trying to intimidate and threaten you. We are perusing this matter with the Tribunal.

A removal company that won't answer their phones and emails even though in their reviews they claim, "Communication via our office is very accessible via our direct number". Choose Bustamove Removals. They truly know how to "bust" your move because your move will never be complete. As it turns out, we have gone more bust than move. After reading a lot of their reviews online, I'm surprised that Chris Boyce and his team are still around. Others have gone to Fairtrade and believe you me, so will we but comments of Fairtrade's calls having not being responded to by the company isn't reassuring. Tardiness, miscommunication, saying one thing but meaning another. This is what we have had to put up with. Three weeks later and we still do not have half of our furniture! After paying money upfront time and time again and nothing to show for it except for hollow promises, we have sought advise from the relevant authorities. It is reassuring to know that there are others out there that have had the same negative experience from Bustamove and we hope to make everyone steer clear of this shonky removal company.

Would not recommend. Real poor communication and cannot deliver on promise time. They would not refund either. No point going with these guys. Waste of time and money.

I had my items delivered 21 days after pick up. They didn't give me a set date/time when they will deliver. Absolute rubbish!!!
