This gutless cunt pulled the exact same shit today to my friends and cancelled on their wedding which was paid for last year, no refund forthcoming no explanation just surprise tough luck i just ruined what is supposed to be the best day of your life. You have dont this to far to many people you sleeze .

To the below, the bankruptcy was only filed after the a current affair show as it sent us into bankruptcy due to all the cancellations. The services we had booked were all booked with the capacity of being able to complete all bookings (more then 1 per day) so no, There was no fraud ever. I understand it isn’t ideal, however due to the bankruptcy we are unable to complete bookings due to all business assets being ceased. In regards to my wife starting a business, this isn’t true this was my business also which has also stopped trading. When only a 30% deposit is required, and someone cancels & you charge 50% cancellation on the 30% paid, that makes sense. But when someone chooses to pay in full, and you won’t even provide a 50% refund on bookings. You’re legitimately withholding peoples money Hopeless. Deleting your website won’t stop you being investigated mate.

To the poster below. I have said numerous times I am sorry to those I let down. As I have explained I made some mistakes as a young business owner and am trying to make amends. What the ACA didn’t show was how sincere I was and the 4 step process that I have implemented to ensure things like this don’t happen. DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. I booked David back in early July 2016 and was made pay in full for my wedding in March 2017. After paying David made no contact with me until I messaged him a couple weeks before the wedding asking if he needed anything from me. He then continued to tell me that his central west photobooth was broken and could no longer supply it. It was obviously not broken and I was just double booked as David was into for another wedding supplying the photobooth there and my Dj was a local from my hometown. I rung him and he agreed to pay for a new photobooth. Never did, lied about transferring me money multiple times, sending a cheque to then bounce, always an excuse. I also paid for travel which he never offered back even though no one had to travel in the end. The Dj that worked at my wedding also did not get paid by David. He is very dishonest and rude. Had to take him to court as he would not respond to me regarding this matter.

Wife and I were notified 48 hours before our wedding that a prepaid DJ/Flower wall/Photobooth package through Events by Koda was not going to be available via email. Payment in full 9 months prior to wedding. 3 months after the event, we're still not paid back. Do your own research prior to booking.

Our wedding DJ (Events by Koda) provided 24hrs notice that they couldn’t deliver signage on our wedding day, and offered a refund straight away. 12 weeks later and no refund or proof of, after attempts by Fair Trading and ourselves with dodgy excuses each time it never came through. Good to see today the business owner today admit the business has gone under due to not providing services or refunds to many couples and his reputation has taken a big hit, and his “dodgy” antics to be reported in A Current Affair shortly. David turned up to our wedding we had him do our DJ and photobooth. I noticed that he did not provide a photo book for the photobooth when I ask him what happen he reply” it got wet in the car’ ok accidents happen and we agreed that he would reprint all the photos and send a photo book to me. We had our wedding over a month ago and still haven’t received a copy of the photos on a USB and the book and printed images. He will not respond to emails or calls and now I have no other choice but to make a complaint to the department of fair trading

Beyond disappointing. David promised the world and delivered nothing. I gave him the benefit of the doubt when he said he had no choice but to cancel a few days out from my event. Months later, no refund, no returned phone calls or emails. Instead, social media posts bragging about an event that David had coordinated at the exact same time that my event was on. He also tried to delete his Facebook threads and online invoices that he’d generated. Unlucky for him, we are all able to screenshot evidence.

Do not book Events by Koda. He owes 100s of thousands to people who's booked him for wedding and birthdays. Says he'll return money back to them and even provides fake deposit slips.

Pity there is no rateing below Poor ? Had similar experience having paid in FULL and not being able to obtain partial refund due to an unadvoiidable cancellation although being promised by DAVID . A message from the business owner; Every single one of there’s 1 star reviews are false and defamatory. Unfortunately due to the style of review site that business listings is we can’t find out who has posted these reviews as they hide behind the anonymity that the site provides. We are currently trying to have our listing removed from this pretentious site however they also never reply. You can view over 50 positive reviews on our Facebook page from Genuine clients with real accounts. Unfortunately there are competitors out there who will try anything to take down a business. We booked Events by Koda for our wedding on February 17th, 2018 and we are absolutely over the moon! David’s communication right from the begging was Outstanding. David was so professional and amazing to deal with. The music was commented on by all of our guests, they played each and every request. The dancefloor was full the whole night. Thank you so much Events by Koda for making our wedding the best is possibly could be. We would 100% recommend Events by Koda to everyone!

Hi David! Saturday was an absolutely incredible day and everything went perfectly. Our DJ was excellent and had pretty much all 75 guests up and dancing on the dance floor all night long! We had so many guests comment and say it’s the best wedding they have ever been to and I really believe it has a lot to do with the dance floor and music. Everyone commented on such a great choice of songs he had for us and everything was so professional and ran so smoothly. We had our wedding on the 3rd June, and used Events by Koda for our DJ and photobooth. Mark was amazing with the music and had all the guests up and dancing!!! I was a bit worried about the open air photobooth and the privacy of guests and Events by Koda set it up to ensure privacy for the guests and it was a massive hit. The props and everything were amazing!! I would highly recommend!!!

I want to thank David for being an awesome DJ at our wedding. I gave him a list of songs we wanted played, and he accommodated us so well. He was flexible and easygoing and kept the dance floor pumping all night and we had so much fun! We were also able to use his microphone for our MC. We had a package that included a photobooth as an add on, something we hadn't originally considered but we were so glad that we had it. It was a bonus and we all had heaps of fun taking photos with the props. From the get go, the customer service was great - I got replies to my emails really quickly and definitely felt like I had nothing to worry or stress about with organising a DJ through them. I highly recommend events by koda⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was contacted by Alex price to Dj for events by koda at a wedding, I also have never been paid. If you are asked to Dj for David or Alex make sure you get payment upfront, because once you have done the work they will loose all contact with you, BEWARE.

Well I must say the service was amazing, communication with the company is outstanding and always happy to help no matter what the issue. DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND the owner David young trading under Events by Koda is in my opinion a compulsive liar. I booked David back in early July 2016 to supply a dj and Photo Booth for 5 hours and was made pay in full for my wedding in March 2017. After paying David made no contact with me until I messaged him a couple weeks before the wedding asking if he needed anything from me. He then continued to tell me that his central west photobooth was broken and could no longer supply it(not the first time). It was obviously not broken and I was just double booked as David was into for another wedding supplying the photobooth there and my Dj was a local from my hometown. I rung him and he agreed to pay for a new photobooth. Never did, lied about transferring me money multiple times, sending a cheque to then bounce, always an excuse. I also paid for travel which he never offered back even though no one had to travel in the end. David was paid to dj and supply a Photo Booth and travel, only supplied a local dj that also did not get paid and did not refund me for the Photo Booth. He is very dishonest and rude. Had to take him to court as he would not respond to me regarding this matter.

I cannot thank you enough David! We used Events by Koda for our engagement party last year and our wedding this weekend just gone. The photo booth had everyone entertained for hours and our DJ was just so great! 5 stars all night long! Kris & Steve

I just wanted to thank David & Stephanie for their amazing service at my Wedding on January 14th! The communication with David was great right from the beginning. This company commits fraud. If they are double booked they take your money and sub let a DJ or photobooth from another company. The owner runs the company under the name David Ryan (although I believe this is a fake name as it's registered under ABN to David Young). My experience is I paid 6 weeks upfront for a photobooth only for it to not show up to my function. I could not call him on the night as his phone was disconnected. I emailed him the next day and he lied to me saying that a flood had ruined his equipment (although no rain had fallen in the past week on the central coast at the time he said it did). But the other photobooth company contacted me saying they were sorry they couldn't do my function because Events by Koda had not paid them prior to the night and they'd had this issue before. They maybe good for you but if they're double booked they will fraud you and ruin your event.

David im Aron from mobile dj dubbo . You hired us to dj a wedding for you 3weeks ago and you still havent paid us and wont even answer phone calls or reply to emails . You even sent a screen shot of a bank transfer that you didnt put through yjen told us you were sending a cheque 2 weeks ago and still nothing . Its a massive dissapointment that you would behave like this and that i have to contact you like this .

In October 2016 my DJ business was contacted by Koda and he asked me to cover a wedding for him. We agreed on a $700 fee which would be paid the day before the wedding. It wasn't paid, and to this day I have received only $100. I found out later that Dave from Koda also owed this same bride and groom a $200 refund but he hadn't paid that either. In my opinion Events By Koda should not be trusted.
