The process of making steel shots is very straightforward. The steel scrap is converted into fine
particles, and then separated by size. EDX and SEM are used to perform morphological
analysis. Using a SEM micrograph, three spots are selected and labeled as 1, 2, and 3. The
region marked as region 4 is a sample of the overall composition of the entire area. Steel shots
are reusable and recyclable, and manufacturers can recycle the scraps to save on disposal
costs.
