Date: 01/05/2016WARNING! Don't sign up for this unless you want to get ripped off, lack of support and total waste of time, and long winded courses that could be classed as a diploma but are a certificate IV. There are no due dates (which is done on purpose) and you can't just stop and cancel if you decide not to go ahead with the course (unless it's 14 days in). SO if you fall pregnant or have an accident etc you are locked in and have to pay the remaining amount. Go to Tafe or Uni, avoid, avoid, avoid.
Date: 02/06/2014DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR ADVERTISEMENTS!!! I signed up for a AU$4,000 course and they were super helpful until I actually received the work and assessments. I had none of my questions answered by student support or anyone else, I was even called over the phone after sending in an official complaint and was told I "liked to have all the answers and was high maintenance". Other students I have spoken to are less then impressed about the support that is provided. The adds say you will get all this support etc but really your by self. I could have gone to a TAFE institute and done the course for only AU$1,100.
Waste of time, effort and money!
Date: 07/03/2013I have just completed a 6 week skill builder course with Open Colleges and I cannot recommend that company. While the course itself was excellent … the price was not.
Once I started the course, I fully realized that Open Colleges wasn’t actually conducting the course; instead it was conducted by an overseas company. When I checked out that company’s website I couldn’t help but notice that my course sells for US$149, while Open Colleges sells it for AU$549. That is more than 3.5 times more. In my opinion, a company who has that kind of pricing policy cannot be trusted.
