Hello, I am so glad you found me! My name is Nerida, I have a wealth of
knowledge, therapeutic expertise and training with over 30 years experience
working as a Psychotherapist, Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor and located in
Menai and Padstow, New South Wales.
Counsellor and Psychotherapist
As a Counsellor & Psychotherapist, I specialise in working
with individuals, couples and groups applying various modalities to address
issues such as addictions, relationship counselling, premarital counselling,
trauma counselling and clinical supervision.
I see my role as one of sitting with people in conversation, working
collaboratively to manage and understand the concerns that bring them to
counselling. My goal is to ensure that
the counselling and psychotherapy sessions happen in a confidential, caring,
non-judgmental and safe environment.
I am passionate about supporting my clients to make meaning
from their life experiences whilst helping, guiding and mentoring them in such
a way that they find a sense of hope and a striving to turn their life around
and live in line with their own values, goals and individual needs – “live a
life worth living”.
Accredited Supervisor
I am a PACFA Accredited Clinical Supervisor who is passionate
about self-care and have a “therapist first” approach to supervision.
I offer counsellors, psychotherapists and students a safe,
professional and confidential space in which to engage in clinical
supervision. Each session is tailored
according to your unique personal needs and situations, supporting you and
empowering you to continue to grow in your work.
Individual and Group Supervision is available at the Menai
practice. (Maximum number of 6 members per group as per the PACFA
Guidelines).
Student Supervision is available at the Padstow Practice
only. Student special rates will be negotiated on a case by case basis for
individual and group supervision.
