Vanessa Kredler Food Addiction Counselling & Psychotherapist
Vanessa Kredler is a counsellor and psychotherapist who specialises in food addiction recovery. Her work is deeply informed by her own lived experience with food addiction and complex trauma, which allows her to meet clients with empathy, clarity, and a grounded understanding of what long-term recovery really takes.
Vanessa supports people who struggle with compulsive eating, bingeing, emotional eating, and dependency on ultra processed foods. She offers a compassionate, non diet approach that honours abstinence as a valid recovery path for those who need it. Her clients often find that while they came to address food issues, their healing reaches far beyond the plate, touching on trauma, nervous system regulation, and other addictive behaviours like workaholism, codependency, and compulsive busyness.
With training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), polyvagal theory, somatic therapy and mindfulness, Vanessa helps clients understand the deeper emotional and nervous system patterns that drive their eating behaviours. Her approach is relational, trauma informed and focused on supporting the whole person.
Through one on one counselling, guided meditations, and recovery programs, Vanessa offers a clear, supportive space for people to move from shame and chaos to connection and stability. She believes that food addiction recovery is not about willpower, but about safety, self-understanding, and support and that no one should have to do it alone.
