Dry Concrete Batching Plants
Concrete
has numerous designations under the ACI guidelines. Most of these include
extensive procedures in terms of mixing, molding, pouring, and usage. Dry
concrete batching plants are designed to enable producers to achieve extremely
dry and low permeation of the constituent materials. Concrete mixing is done at
the site, so the construction crew does not have to get large amounts of
ready-mixed concrete. Quality and simplicity of work are ensured simply because
everything is done according to tailored specifications. The dry batch method
allows for accurate control over the mix ratios, making it possible to create
quality concrete without any errors in batch preparations.
Dry
concrete batching plants are particularly useful in circumstances where it is
more practical to mix the concrete at the location of application, especially
in remote projects requiring particular concrete mixes as per changing
conditions. The plants may be portable or stationary depending on project
requirements. In addition, dry batching plants are more economically feasible
in situations where the space available for construction is limited, as they
require less infrastructure and equipment than wet batching plants. Since water
is not included at all in any of the batches until the last mix, it increases
the shelf life of the individual dry ingredients, making it more feasible to
transport and store the materials until they are mixed to be used.
