Treetops @ Kirrawee
Treetops @ Kirrawee is a long day care service that is open 7am-6pm,
Monday-Friday. Treetops is a small family owned childcare service that offers
care to a maximum of 30 children per day. Treetops includes many things in its
service including – all meals, nappies, bedding. Treetops offers a smartphone
app that updates clients with photos of the day plus daily activity – including
whether or not children ate at each meal time, if nappies were dry, wet or
soiled, if children slept and between what times, if preschool aged children
participated in school readiness. The smartphone app also documents child development,
including observations, follow-ups and assessments. There is a video released
each day that shows what children have been doing. Treetops maintains a higher
than needed number of staff for safety reasons – only 4 staff are required and
we currently run 7 staff members. Safety is the number one concern for us, and
our child care environment has been designed to allow for child exploration
without compromising on safety. Treetops is required to have only 2 educators
who are diploma trained or higher – Treetops has 4, including a fully qualified
Teacher. Treetops offers a number of extracurricular activities, such as Dance,
Sports, Music – and also a free Language (French) class. Treetops is a sunsafe
service, providing SPF50+ sunscreen protection in dispensers on walls
throughout the service – plus shade cloth to protect from the sun in outdoor
areas. Hygiene is maintained by a strict routine of cleaning. The service is
cleaned by staff each day, using colour coded utensils for certain areas to
avoid cross contamination – the service is also cleaned by a professional
cleaning company twice a week. Treetops also has hand sanitizer in dispensers
on the walls across the service. Treetops is always looking at ways to be more
sustainable and environmentally aware. Treetops has had solar panels installed,
we use lights triggered by sensors, LED lighting, we have general waste and
recycling bins throughout the server, we have a water tank for watering outside
and 2 worm farms. Treetops has 2 chickens, we serve as our pets and the
children assist in feeding them and collecting eggs for cooking experiences.
Treetops is a multicultural service that celebrates our diversity – we
celebrate our different cultures throughout the year on our cultural calendar,
we also plan exciting shows for the children to enjoy on our yearly social
calendar. Treetops offers a babysitting service for all major yearly events –
Valentines day, Mothers day, etc. Treetops offers both permanent and casual
enrolments. Treetops caters to the local and greater community. We accept
enrolments from – Kirrawee, Sutherland, Alfords Point, Bangor, Barden Ridge,
Bonnet Bay, Bundeena, Burraneer, Caringbah, Caringbah South, Como, Cronulla,
Dolans Bay, Engadine, Grays Point, Gymea, Gymea Bay, Heathcote, Illawong,
Jannali, Kareela, Kurnell, Lilli Pilli, Loftus, Lucas Heights, Menai, Miranda,
Oyster Bay, Port Hacking, Sandy Point, Sylvania, Sylvania Waters, Taren Point,
