G-Force Sports Cars is based in O’Connor, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia. It makes the MkIII King Cobra, a replica of the British AC Cobra sports car made in the 1960s.
G-Force Sports Cars has been making AC Cobra replicas for 25 years. The company employs a tradesman who worked for AC cars when the original vehicle was made, and brings authenticity to the making of the replicas. G-Force Sports Cars offers several alternatives to King Cobra purchasers:
• Kit no 1., steel ladder frame with zinc plated floors. Body is supplied fitted to the frame. This kit accepts small-block motors of 5-6 litres.
• Kit no.2, steel ladder mated to space-frame, giving greater torsional rigidity than the Kit no.1. This kit accepts big block motors from 5-8 litres.
• Kit no.3., Coyote Kit – accepts the Ford Coyote 5-litre quad-cam motor.
These kits take around 250 hours to complete. G-Force Sports Cars also sells these kits in five stages of completion.
G-Force Sports Cars also sells second-hand, low mileage completed cars.
G-Force Sports Cars AC Cobra replica kits have met the Queensland torsional and beaming rigidity requirements. Use of Jaguar independent suspension endows the vehicle with handling and ride characteristics greatly superior to typical running gear used in Cobra replicas.
As well as car kits, G-Force Sports Cars also sells a large number of accessories for improving the aesthetics and performance of their King Cobra replicas.
