Make it a habit to always rinse your camera using freshwater after a dive. It is best to leave it soaked in lukewarm water for a couple of hours; make sure that the camera is closed and turn the controls ever so often. By doing this, you are dissolving the salt crystals which can cause damage to your camera once they dry up. After soaking it, make sure that the camera is well dried before attempting to open it. And open it in a way wherein the water that could come in won't fall directly to the camera.
