The five actions of Panchakarma are Abhyanga (oil massages done as preparatory treatments), Inner Oiling (done through the ingestion of ghee to lubricate the body and prepare it for the following actions), Virechana (purgation), Vasti (enema treatment with herbal oils of decoctions) and Nasya (nasal passage lubrication).
