Richard is the director and founder of REM Accounting & Advisory. He established the firm in 2014 with the purpose of helping families achieve what is valued most. Richard employs a holistic approach in understanding his client’s present situation to develop a uniquely innovative strategy to enable them to realise their future goals.
He is a Chartered Accountant, a fellow of the Tax Institute and has completed a Master in Business (Banking & Finance) from Monash University and a Master of Applied Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Melbourne.
Richard has extensive experience advising clients across a number of industries including medical, dental and pharmacy, childcare and family day care, hospitality and retail, IT & e-commerce, franchises, manufacturing and wholesale, professional services, property developers and builders, start-ups and tradesman.
His key areas of expertise include business advisory and tax consulting services, structuring and asset protection, forecasting, budgeting, and optimizing financial performance. He prides himself on helping his clients create a legacy which will have an enduring and positive impact on their families, business, and the wider community.
Richard is committed to building long lasting relationships with his clients with his open, friendly, and accessible approach. He collaborates with his clients on an ongoing basis to ensure that their needs are being met and to continuously help them identify opportunities of growth and development.
On a personal level, Richard is married to Nancy and has two girls, Alexana and Celine. He enjoys trying new restaurants and cafes, playing golf, travelling, and spending time with family and friends.
