| Shraddha Yoga Centre – Joanne Jackett – has been established in Brighton since 1984. My introduction to yoga was in 1975 at the Gita School of Yoga. Having attended classes as a student of Hatha Yoga and Yoga Philosophy for some time, Margrit Segesman, the founder and Principle of the Gita School invited me to undergo Teacher Training. Under her strict and disciplined tutelage I qualified to teach in 1979. I remained as a teacher at the school until 1985 when I then began teaching independently in Brighton where my classes are currently held. In recent years I have furthered my studies in Meditation and Yoga Philosophy becoming a member and student of the Self-Realisation Fellowship who disseminate the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda. |
