Date: 05/12/2013I am a person who never believed in purchasing a product online especially after hearing a lot about online scams. But, time shortage and busy schedule compelled me to place order for a laptop online from Top End Electronics, about which I got to know during a research over the web. Not only the online store offers great prices, free shipping, but they also shipped my new laptop in just a few days. I was so happy and surprised to receive it only a couple days later and began using it. Even more impressive though, were the manual and accessories provided in the box. Every single detail about the product was mentioned in the manual. I must say they are very professional. Top End Electronics completely changed my approach towards online shopping. We rarely get this kind of treatment from retail shops.

Date: 11/11/2013This has to be the WORST experience in buying something online in my entire life. I wanted to purchase 2 very expensive (NZD$1200+ each) mobile phones and as they were for my business I rang Top End Electronics to ensure that they were
A), a valid NZ company and
B), they held stock ready for delivery.
They told me they had stock and I would see the phones within 4 working days. So I paid them immediately and awaited delivery.
And I waited...
And I tried to contact hem for an update....
And I waited.....
They kept telling me the phones were in transit and they would soon provide a tracking number...
Repeatedly.
Seems they don't actually have an NZ Office. Just some guy answering the same phone number for both NZ & Australia. They drop ship goods from an agent in Singapore. They do not hold goods. They do not have a warehouse.
After more than 3 weeks I received an email saying that they were out of stock and would I like another colour.
After more telephone calls and emails to confirm that I did not want an alternate colour and to refund my money, still nothing.
A week and a half later I threatened Top End Electronics with Police action and a complaint to the Commerce Commission. And guess what. They suddenly were able to supply the phones. So I luckily didn't lose my $2500.
However after constant lies & deceit I can say that Top End Electronics is completely untrustworthy.
If you want to take a gamble on getting your order on time, with any respectable level of service then you would be better man than me.
They run a dodgy business that does not hold stock, has no stock management system and the staff are happy to lie directly to you.
This is not how we do business in New Zealand.
Shame on you Top End Electronics.
Please check other review sites and you will see plenty of valid reviews saying the same thing. Top End Electronics are DODGY.

I was in a mood to buy a mobile phone since a long time, but was a bit confused with innumerable electronic stores offering their products online. During research, I came across Top End Electronics and was amazed with the huge variety of products available from the topmost brands. Mobile phones, laptops, tablets, digi cams and what not………..I raised a query regarding a product and the support team guys reverted immediately. For me it was really one of the best shopping experiences I ever had.
Date: 18/09/2013I had an order in the system, never heard anything about it and now over a month later they advise it is dearer and want more money.
These guys are obviously useless and I wouldn't be at all surprised to find they are scammers.
