A highly distinguished teacher and performer,
Jonathan Shachter is a multi-brass instrumentalist who teaches trumpet, tuba,
trombone, cornet and euphonium (baritone). He initially received his Bachelor
of Music from Virgina Tech, USA in 2002 before he was awarded his first
scholarship in Vancouver
to study and perform with Larry Knoop, Principal trumpeter of The Vancouver
Symphony.

BACKGROUND: From playing on TV shows like 'The Huff' to playing in marching
bands across various stadiums, Jonathan's experience has seen him to coach
brass ensembles and individual players of all levels and backgrounds across
various genres. He has taught in Israel, Japan, Canada, USA and Australia
(where he now resides) and those who have learnt from him, have labelled him as
'an inspiring teacher'.
Jonathan's lessons are individually tailored to meet each student's goals.
You'll be learning the fundamentals of breathing, how to correctly hold the
instrument, maintenance, technique, ear training, playing and much more.
Jonathan brings to each lesson a richness of experience, performance and
professionalism that transpires into the results of each student. He is an
easy-going and friendly teacher who ensures a strong foundation is established
whilst keeping the lessons fun, easy and not overwhelming.
