Agency the France created I response to their new copyright infringement laws, had a document prepared and classified as ”secret,” that outlines some of their plans for new monitoring activities. More details here vpn free for firefox. The document was leaked by the French online magazine . Somehow they managed to get a Freedom of Information request slipped by, and we’re glad they did. The report shows the lengths that the agency will go to to invade everyone’s privacy.

The report titled  is 36 pages and details their demands on ISP’s and security software experts, and was released to a select few companies that were to certified. The report tells the companies of the operational features they want implemented in new monitoring software, and the word invasive only touches on the scope of the policies they are implementing.

They suggested that security companies develop stand-alone software that will be integrated into  setup boxes. And, while the boxes are too small presently, they could integrate the filtering software into future generations of modems and connection devices. It wasn’t made clear in the report how they would get the boxes into user homes, but the software will be quite invasive for those using any kind of proxy or VPN.

According to the leaked report which was still in draft form, they want the security software to break traffic down into three categories, Blacklists – banned websites; Grey lists – suspect apps and keywords; and White list – what they deem is suitable for you. Also integrated into the software will be monitoring abilities. They intend to monitor traffic and protocols in real time, and warn and block users that are potentially infringing on copyright protections.
