Hello! My name is Marie Kouroulis and I am the owner of Marriage Ceremonies Melbourne. I’m a full time, Commonwealth Registered Civil Celebrant and I have to say, I absolutely love my job!
I have the pleasure of meeting people when they are at their happiest, a point in their lives that is filled with joy and enthusiasm as they plan for the union of two souls. What a blessing it is to officiate at a ceremony that encompasses and affirms the couple’s promises to each other, in the presence of loved ones. I feel so honored to be invited to respectfully help in planning, guiding and leading such an important ceremony that marks a new path in the couple’s lives.
I have officiated at many ceremonies over the years, from the very large to small and intimate celebrations. My focus is entirely on helping to create a special ceremony that is unique to each couple.
For some, we incorporate rituals and traditions into a ceremony that is deeply meaningful to the couple and their guests. For others, the ceremony may be something new, interactive, fun and yet still full of emotion.
Every ceremony is unique and I ensure that the couple’s requests are fulfilled and that their ceremony becomes a memorable part of such a special day.
My role as a Civil Celebrant is to get to know my couples and prepare myself to deliver the type of ceremony they dream of. I take great care and pride in writing and delivering a personal ceremony that reflects the values, beliefs, personality and unique story of each couple. The aim is always to portray an accurate reflection – so family and friends can identify with the couple who stands there before them.
I take pleasure in going “the extra mile”, before during and after the ceremony to ensure everything runs smoothly. From the initial meeting to lodging my couple’s paperwork immediately after the ceremony – no detail is left to chance.
