Trademark opposition is the legal right to contest a specific trademark and submit a notice against the mark with the Trial and Appeal Board by paying a fee. When an application for Trademark Registration in India is filed, the Trademark Registrar publishes it in the Trademark Journal, and any individual or third party can submit a Trademark Opposition to the application for Trademark Registration within four months after the date of publication.
