Dr O’Mahony has and extensive background in surgical research, gaining a Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Cambridge (UK) for her research into the side effects of Breast Cancer treatment. She is a senior lecturer at the University of Queensland Medical School, and regularly teaches trainee Plastic Surgeons, GPs, junior doctors, medical students, nurses and other health professionals.
