| Dr David Stephenson is the first ATLAS Alignment practitioner outside the European Union. The vibration method corrects the alignment of the first vertebrae. The first vertebrae is often incorrectly positioned following a trauma to the head, neck or tailbone. This may occur during a whiplash injury, or fall or blow to the head. It may even occur at birth from a difficult birth process or forceps delivery. The method involves vibration massage of the long strap muscles of the back and shoulders, and deep vibration massage of the neck muscles. Once the muscles are relaxed, the atlas first vertebrae can be palpated. If diagnosis confirms the atlas is not correctly aligned, it is vibrated back into its correct place. No chiropractic manipulation is involved. |
