CLA Safflower Oil

What is CLA and why is it so popular?  This is just for those of you that aren't familiar with CLA because I know many people already know what it is. CLA is a compound that is found in certain foods, particularly cattle beef, cow's milk and some other foods. It stands for conjugated linoleic acid and it's a combination of omega 3 fatty acids, polyunsaturated fatty acids. CLA is a type of fat and there are multiple reasons for why it is popular because it has been found to have several health benefits to offer. 

However, what brought the most attention towards it, I would say, was the results that it has on fat mass or fat percentage in animals, such as rats or hamsters, pigs, etc. Once you hear the results you will understand why it gained such popularity. It managed to reduce fat mass in animals by as much as 50%, maybe even a bit more. To many, it may sound ridiculous that you can lose fat with fat since CLA is a type of fat, as I've mentioned earlier.

Yet, it can work, unfortunately though, it's hard to tell when it will work and how powerful or potent it will be for each individual. CLA has a potency and reliability as well as a consistency problem. It's use to burn fat is quite lacklustre and it's obvious if you look at study results. You don't even have to read the information from each study, just look at the results overall. In its 18 human trials, it has managed to offer a more or less significant change in fat mass in only about 7 of them. 

It drew a lot of attention because of its success that it has on animals but it disappointed when it was tested on humans. It might also help with blood sugar and insulin resistance, it might reduce tumor size and reduce the risk of tumors such as cancer but again, the same problem here with it being unreliable and inconsistent.  If you want yes or no answer to the question of whether or not CLA can help you burn more fat, you'll have to test it yourself because it's just too unreliable for someone else to give you any guarantee that it'll work.
