Date: 16/02/2014I would not use Carpet Technique nor would I recommend the company. My Victorian era heritage listed timber staircase was damaged when it was unnecessarily chopped and hacked by Carpet Technique during carpet laying on the stairs. The carpet laying was rushed and as a result sub-standard and the incorrect trims were used at doorways where the carpet abutted polished timber floors. The new timber floor at the bottom of the stairs was dented and damaged during the job. No care and no responsibility by Carpet Technique. I successfully lodged a complaint in the VCAT and on 09 January 2014 Carpet Technique's Mr Eric Dickman was order to pay $801.61 in damages. To date (16 Feb 2014) Mr Dickman has failed to comply with the VCAT Order and the $801.61 has not been received. I would never use Carpet Technique again.
