Le Pelican is a small French Basque bistro set in a charming sandstone terrace between St Margarets & Taylor Square on Bourke Street in Surry Hills.
After opening in April 2006, chef Jean Francois and front of house, Ally have established a loyal following and garnered glowing reviews from critics and patrons alike.
At the heritage listed 1852 built building, Jean Francois has found the perfect fit for his Basque inspired contemporary bistro. The sandstone walls, wooden floors and tasteful furnishings create a relaxing and intimate atmosphere in which to enjoy fine food and good company. The constantly evolving menu is carefully chosen from market fresh produce to create dishes that reflect the best of the season.
